Karnataka Govt Launched Indira Canteen Scheme

The state government launched Indira Canteen to provide affordable meals to poor people of the state. The scheme was launched at Kanakanapalya in Jayanagar, a posh locality of the Bengaluru. People who don’t make that much money, the canteen is made for the people such as construction workers, people who own little shops, auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers, barbers etc.

In the canteen breakfast at Rs 5 and dinner at Rs 10 will be available for the poor people in three time. The state government has a budget of Rs 100 crore for the canteen scheme.
